THANK YOU

I have looked and looked. I kept going, never tiring and I couldnt find a better word than this to tell you how grateful I am for the world to have put you on my path. I could have met a million other students from a hundred of countries and every path just led me to you guys. 

I can't deny the fact that I'm sometimes unable to express myself in French but thankfully I've discovered the beauty of the English language and man, isn't it simple to share what my heart has to say when I use it.

Maelye really wanted me to cry, well let me tell you this: Seeing Sérafino look at Lana and Flavie coming in right after crying earlier at the music club tore my heart to pieces. It made me realise what I've been pushing away for months now. 

School will feel empty without you. 

School already is empty without you.

No more random poems learnt by heart from Julia and Noah. No more creepy little students like Lorick and Maelya to follow me into the hallways and pretending as if it weren't true. No more 'You Lost' joke literally shoved into my face around every corner or written on the most random things. No more 'Sir, can you open the club for us, we've got a free period'. No more 'I won't go out, I will camp right here, right now'.

This embodies my relationship with my students. Students I've got to know for one year sometimes or three at best.It's way beyond words. It's way beyond jokes. It's infinity and beyond. 

Now, I only wish one thing for you, and that thing is simple.

I wish you to have Axel's carefreeness. To embrace life as it is. Live on the moment. To be able to just enjoy and have fun.

I wish you to have Celia's humour. And most especially embrace the fact that you can have fun with every little detail in life.

I wish you to have Noah's easy-goingness. To not seem worry and even if you do, to know that's definitely alright.

I wish you to have Zoé's passion. To be driven and to reach your goals. To long for the top. 

I wish you to have Lauryne's reasoning. To try to understand when something feels off without pushing too hard.

I wish you to have Zemuh's kindness. To be there for others and to keep people smiling. Even in the most dire situations.

I wish you to have Maëlys' determination. To be your best because you can always be better. 

I wish you to have Flavie's adaptability. To prove us many times that what is stressful can spark strength. 

I wish you to have Maelye's point of view on life. To seek strength and justice. To strive for success. To be admirable.

I wish you to have Ylan's altruism. To never give up on providing a shoulder to cry on for your friends.

I wish you to have Chloe's clarity. To always be able to know what is right or not for you. To know what safe means. To act on it.

I wish you to have Kassper's audacity. To be bold enough for the boldest jokes. To understand who you are and accept who you are.

I wish you to have Lana's light. To start a spark in every soul you find, provide a place for EVERYone and to never reject anybody.

I wish you to have Julia's empathy. To help before you judge. To act before you worry. To be there before you wonder.

I wish you to have Tanguy's care, to care for others. To truly care for others. To truly truly care for others.

And finally, I wish you to have Sérafino's sensibility. To know that life is hella short and worth living. That feelings remind us that we are humans and its alright to feel them. To get into projects and life knowing full well that they will end and your heart will shout. 

I wish you to be yourself. To understand who you are and who you will be. To take the best traits from the beautiful souls around you. 

Thank you once again for preparing my career's best souvenir. This book will be on my shelf, next to me, every day for years and years to come. As a way to understand my own value, but also a way to help me understand that this job is more than a job. That it's worth all the stress associated with it, that it's worth all the troubles.

And keep this in mind. All of your words go straight to my heart. A special room I've built this year with all your names carved in it. 

Remember to show passion, love and care. To never seek revenge. To help without questioning. To understand before you judge.

The world is in need of people like you. 

The world is a better place with you in it. 

Be who you are meant to be. 

Have a splendid life. Life is worth it. You are worth it.
